Automation below is using a number of simple ways to make sure that you will wake up naturally from the light and not from the loud alarm
How Does It Work?
- Trigger: This is time-based automation. I would set it to the specific time during the day time and different on the weekends.
- You can wake up to three different things:
- Your curtains/blinds opening the sunlight for you
- Light bed becoming brighter
- Above can be also duplicated by your favorite playlist or a song
- Make sure it will stop after 5 minutes and repeat after 10 to make sure you will wake up for sure
ADVANCED TIPS: There is a number of things you can further improve in this automation recipe:
- Add a motion tracker in your home and it will disable the alarm as soon as you wake up
- You can link your wake up routine to any other things you do in the morning (put on your kettle/ news etc)
